
Lorri Mon, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Dr. Lorri Mon is an associate professor and a former Director of FSU's School of Information at Florida State University’s College of Communication and Information. She received a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Washington at Seattle in 2006 and the Master's degree in Information and Library Science from the University of Michigan in 1998. Dr. Mon’s research and teaching interests have included social media management, digital reference, government information, e-government, and reference and information services. Her research has explored online information services in e-government, online education, and digital libraries, including how users approach and interact with online information services and service providers, and the changing nature of the provision of information services via emerging technologies such as chat, e-mail, instant messaging, text messaging, social media, virtual worlds and makerspace/fab lab environments.
