Miguel Garcia-Salas is a Ph.D. student studying under Dr. Carla Wood and the Florida Center for Reading Research. Miguel's main goal is to empower culturally and linguistically diverse families to help their children’s language and literacy skills while ensuring that the instruction is appropriate, desired, and provided in ways that allow caregivers to feel comfortable using the strategies independently and confidently.
