Biography
Subhasree Sengupta is an assistant professor with a shared appointment between the School of Information and the Learning Systems Institute. Her interdisciplinary work focuses on understanding and envisioning resilient and responsible technology-augmented pedagogical futures and associated preparedness initiatives. Dr. Sengupta’s research examines how emerging technologies (such as generative AI) can be responsibly augmented to enhance the efficacy and innovativeness of learning processes, with an emphasis on early computing education.
Aligned with her Information Science background, Dr. Sengupta explores how the integration of technology alters and expands how people curate, share, and synthesize knowledge to create augmented collective spaces to boost informal learning, care, support, and empathy within multiple contextual frames (spanning computing education, UX design, women’s health literacy, and other aligned avenues).
Prior to joining FSU, she was a postdoctoral scholar at Clemson University and completed her doctoral work at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University.
